2017 Henschke Julius Riesling, Eden Valley

Concentrated aromas of whitecurrants and citrus with hints of frangipani and green peppercorns. The palate is pure, bursting with ripe lime and succulent whitecurrant flavours, with layered mineral talc-like texture and pure lines of zesty acidity.

2015 Cloudy Bay Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough

Cloudy Bay broke the winemaking rules to create a sophisticated style of New Zealand sauvignon blanc made using wild fermentation and aged in old French oak. Ripe citrus, stone fruit and gentle savoury spice aromas lead to fresh, vibrant grapefruit and white nectarine characters with richer tones of honey and beeswax.

2017 Pooley Cooinda Vale Chardonnay, Tasmania

Bright aromatics of peach blossom, vanilla, toast and hazelnut lead to a long and complex palate, rich with vibrant grapefruit acidity balanced with pristine citrus, cashew, flint and spice characters and a creamy texture. A true display of the complexity of the Cooinda Vale site.

2016 Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills

Medium straw in colour, this wine displays lifted mandarin citrus and melon aromas. Superbly structured palate characters of melon, honey and cashew are met with fresh, linear acidity and an incredible softness.

2016 Singlefile Family Reserve Denmark Chardonnay, Great Southern

A wine conveying both power and finesse, this chardonnay exhibits aromas of intense grapefruit and white peach with hints of orange blossom. The palate is concentrated with citrus and stone-fruit flavours, underpinned by a creamy, cashew-like texture and delicate acidity.

2014 Ata Rangi McCrone Vineyard Pinot Noir, Martinborough

The fifth release from this single site, this special wine is bolder in style than Ata Rangi’s flagship pinot noir, with a rich perfume of spice and hints of manuka flower. The palate opens with a big swell of flavour supported by fine, velvety tannins. The finish is juicy and complex, with an evolution of flavours into a more savoury, umami style.

2016 Greystone Thomas Brothers’ Pinot Noir, North Canterbury

Dom Maxwell, GT WINE’s 2018 New Zealand Winemaker of the Year, is behind this single block, wild fermented pinot noir. Sourced from the steep limestone-based hill of the Greystone vineyard, it shows earthy, savoury flavours with poised acidity and velvety tannins.

2015 Mt Difficulty Mansons Farm Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, Central Otago

Mt Difficulty’s single vineyard wines are handcrafted in very limited quantities; this is the second release of Mansons Farm. Earthy, savoury aromas with underlying raspberry and violets. Red berry characters flow onto the palate, with the densely sculpted mid-palate displaying tension through fine-grained tannins.

2016 Terra Sancta Jackson’s Block Pinot Noir, Central Otago

One of Terra Sancta’s rare single block pinot noirs from its Felton Road estate. Made with minimal intervention and wild fermentation, it is immediately captivating with dark cherry, layers of blue fruits, liquorice, crushed spice, silky tannins and a long, balanced finish.

2016 Craggy Range Le Sol Syrah, Hawke’s Bay

Enticing aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, violets, clove and lightly seared meat. This wine exhibits a richness of fruit yet carries an ethereal quality as the fine-grained tannins dance gracefully across the palate.

2015 First Drop The Cream Shiraz, Barossa Valley

A blend of the best barrels from First Drop’s most prized vineyards, this rich, textured and seamless shiraz combines power and elegance to create the ultimate expression of Barossa shiraz from the vintage.

2015 Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir, North Canterbury

A selection of raspberry, pomegranate and cherry aromas with notes of pepper and clove are underpinned by savoury notes reminiscent of grilled game meats and black olive tapenade. The palate is satisfyingly concentrated with fine-grained tannins and refreshing minerality.
