Jo and Arnie Pizzini have created a stunning cellar door and restaurant experience. Perched high on the hill, the impressive entrance opens to spectacular views across vineyards and distant ranges. The seated tastings inside are relaxed and informed, with a selection including European (Chrismont label) and Mediterranean (La Zona label) varieties. Among them, an early-drinking nebbiolo, a dark savoury sagrantino and a deep-red plum marzemino. These all pay homage to Arnie and Jo’s Italian heritage. Marzemino is special though: a rare northern variety grown in Trentino, home to Arnie’s roots. Post-tasting, have lunch on the large deck to enjoy the vista and the fine food and service on offer. Stay overnight in one of their cosy Tuscan-inspired villas nestled close to the vines. There you are just minutes from Paradise Falls and nearby secret swimming holes.
