Established in 1995 with the planting of the Myrtle Point vineyard by Brian and Helen Lightfoot, this humble family producer has been a stalwart of the Gippsland winemaking scene for over 20 years. Now run by sons Rob and Tom Lightfoot, the estate is located on terra rosa and limestone slopes in the heart of the Gippsland Lakes, with sweeping views of the Mitchell River and the Lindenow Valley. The small but airy cellar door offers seated tastings for small groups every weekend, with their full range of classic and reserve wines available to taste for a modest fee. For those wanting to deep dive into the local terroir, the Taster of Gippsland Experience includes a platter of goods from local cheese and small goods producers matched to a selection of the label’s wines. Grab a bottle of the estate’s beloved Myrtle Point Pinot Noir and enjoy the view of the vines from the sunny wooden verandah outside.
