A collection of white Burgundy as exceptional as that tasted by our expert panel deserves a wider audience. Join us to sample these remarkable wines, during tastings guided by Peter Bourne on Wednesday 9 October at Sydney’s Winespace (119 Kippax St, Surry Hills) and in Orange at Ferment, The Orange Wine Centre (87 Hill St, Orange) on Monday 14 October, both between 6-8pm. The Sydney tasting costs $75 and the Orange tasting costs $55.

Canberra International
Riesling Challenge

19 October

An unmissable event for riesling fans, get down to the 2019 ActewAGL Trade and Consumer Tasting in Canberra where 500 curated rieslings will be assembled. Celebrating rarer domestic and international vintages, experience the versatility of this variety in a multitude of its ages and styles. Tickets are priced at $50 and include a Riedel tasting glass.

Champagne Fest

27 October

Celebrate the return of warmer weather at the National Wine Centre’s annual Champagne Fest in Adelaide, with a tasting selection of over 40 Champagnes accompanied by sparkling wines from Australia, the US and Europe. Guests can enjoy the ultimate indulgence in one of the event’s two VIP rooms, featuring either exclusive selections from G.H. Mumm, or discussions with the Deviation Road team who will share their full range and winemaking journey.

Effervescence Tasmania

1-17 November

Tasmanian wineries consistently receive international acclaim for their sparklings, meriting their own annual celebration with more than 50 events across the state throughout November. Combining 12 of Tasmania’s finest sparkling producers, this year’s program features everything from masterclasses to wine degustation dinners, vineyard glamping, guided hikes or even a round of golf at Barnbougle’s inaugural Effervescence Open.

A stalwart of the Australian food and wine scene, Margaret River Gourmet Escape continues its tradition of an outstanding line-up of chefs, including Momofuku’s David Chang joining Marco Pierre White and Australia’s own Jock Zonfrillo, Alla Wolf-Tasker and Josh Niland. Over 10 spectacular days, immerse yourself in the best of WA wine. Explore the wineries and restaurants through events at Leeuwin Estate, Voyager Estate and Vasse Felix, to name just a few. A new addition to the 2019 program, The Gourmet Village will this year feature The Grand Marquee, a wine paradise exclusively showcasing the state’s top producers.
