If you’re looking for a conversation starter, the Sparkke Change Beverage Company has launched five new social messaging labels on its 100% naturally brewed alcoholic drinks range. The collaboration between Co-Founder and Director Rose Kentish (2014 Gourmet Traveller WINE Winemaker of the Year Finalist) and Head Brewer Agi Gajic sees a new range of labels designed to provoke conversation around prominent social issues including racism, equality and sexual consent.
The five new labels feature on cans of the company’s apple cider, ginger beer, hard lemonade, pale ale and pilsner. Some of the messages include: Girls Just Wanna Have Funding: We’ve Got A Daversity Issue targeting equality and The Last Straw: Just Say No about single-use plastic.
“We started Sparkke with an aim to disrupt the entrenched stereotypes in Australia’s alcohol and hospitality industries through Australia’s great conversation starters – beer and wine,” said Co-Founder Kari Allen.
“We put social messages on the cans to spark important conversations where they need to happen – with friends, with family, with lovers; at parties, at social events, at political functions, at festivals, or right at home.”
