Maude Wines in Central Otago has won the top prize at the inaugural New Zealand Wine of the Year Awards. The 2017 Maude Pinot Noir won the Champion trophy, as well as two other trophies, at the awards dinner held in Wellington on 4 November. “A delicious and complex young wine, juicy and light on its feet,” said chair of judges Warren Gibson. “Pure class.”
