The judging for the first ever Australia International Wine Challenge, supported by Riedel, Vintec and Gourmet Traveller WINE, will take place at the National Wine Centre of Australia in Adelaide on 12 and 13 August, with expert judges and exciting wines being flown in from around the globe.
A consumer tasting ($50pp) will be held from 6-8pm, 13 August. There are also limited tickets to the masterclass ($100pp) on 12 August from 7-8pm, where members of the panel – John Salvi MW, Jeremy Oliver, Bill Hardy, Nick Bulleid MW, Katsuyuki Tanaka and Lynne Sherriff MW – will discuss a selection of international and local wines.

Headlining the program is the new Fires in the Sky dinner, exploring the Wiradjuri culture through stargazing, art and a wood-fired feast of native produce. Mark Lloyd of Coriole and his sons Peter and Duncan are celebrating 50 years of family business with a touring road show.
Welcomed with a glass of prosecco you will then be guided through a full wine tasting by Coriole’s team, including Mark, who has been responsible for the introduction of many alternative grape varieties in Australia.
The roadshow kicks off in Melbourne on Tuesday 6 August at Horti Hall (31 Victoria Street, Carlton). In Sydney the event will take place on Wednesday 7 August at Chiswick at the Gallery (Art Gallery Road, The Domain) and the last stop will be Brisbane on Thursday 8 August at Brisbane Powerhouse (119 Lamington Street, New Farm), all from 5.30-8pm.
